You and your band of comrades will embark on a non-traditional orienteering course, discovering the city in a way that you never knew. Your task is to locate as many landmarks as possible. By "landmarks" we mean specific points that we've determined, all by using an orienteering map, clues, a compass, and a Global Positioning System unit. We'll give you the tools and the know-how. It's up to you for the rest.

Effective teamwork is an essential component for success. Your team of explorers will have to interpret the map, master new technology, strategize your course and put it into action. Task success will require no more strenuous activity than walking or hiking. Our urban orienteering simulation will challenge you to: 1) employ strategic thinking and planning processes; 2) implement your plans in a dynamic context; 3) discuss, as a group, particular leadership and team insights that were learned during the simulation.

We'll set you off on a course of discovery and we'll help you decipher the findings. It's an opportunity to assess how people operate as individuals and within a group as they are challenged on familiar ground. All programs are followed by an insightful, group-generated evaluation of the event. We'd be happy to facilitate the discussion or host a facilitator of your own.
