Winter Snow and Avalanche Survival

Learn all the essential tools for backcountry winter survival while building necessary teamwork skills. We'll show you the ropes (pardon the pun): Navigation, Orienteering, Avalanche Beacon Transmitter & Receiver Rescue. Whether you are planning on spending some hours playing in the wintertime woods with some friends or looking for something different to do with your company family, this outing is perfect!
We combine modern technologies like G.P.S. units and avalanche beacons with classic standard techniques such as maps and compasses in order to create a well-rounded, innovative approach to team building. Our guides work with local Search and Rescue outfits and will show you how these basic skills are incorporated into Avalanche Forecasting and Rescue Programs. In addition to these new skills and insights, every team is given a list of objectives, an assortment of tools, and a specific task. All activities are hands-on and require serious team involvement. Upon completion of the program, we'll direct a a group discussion in order to correlating today's lessons learned with everyday secnarios at home and in the workplace.
