1. What should I wear?
Appropriate clothing for these activities is done best in layers. Remember the weather changes quickly, especially as you reach higher altitudes. You should be prepared for any type of surprise. As a rule, you should wear non-cotton clothing because it dries quicker than cotton clothing. You'll want to bring sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat and wear comfortable, durable shoes. A small backpack is a great idea to store a camera, extra or discarded gear and favorite snack foods. Some season-specific ideas are as follows:
Summer: windbreaker or light rain jacket, a long sleeve shirt
Winter: water-proof shoes, water-proof coat, snow pants, gloves

2. Do you provide lunch?
CBST offers snacks and water for all of our tours and programs. We do offer the classic boxed lunch for $12 and a fancy gourmet lunch at $18. Let us know in advance and we'll make the arrangements. Our boxed lunches serve up a classic deli sandwich, chips, fruit, a bit of dessert, and a fancy beverage. We upgrade all the components with the gourmet lunches, starting with a deli-style sandwich of fancy meats, 2 homemade side salads, fruit, quality baked goods for dessert and select beverages. ($18pp)

3. What "level" is best for me?
All tours are well-paced and designed for individual abilities and goals. Remember: altitude greatly affects athletic performance and stamina. You need to let us know if you are in the Beginner (exercise 0-1 times a week), Intermediate (exercise 2-3 times a week) or Advanced (exercise 4+ times a week) category. If you're not sure, we'll plan to discuss it before we take off on an adventure.

4. Will there be a guide?
Always. Colorado Bike and Ski Tours provides professional guides, trained in wilderness first aid and gear mechanics. We're picky. We only work with the top athletes in the area. In fact, the majority of our staff are EMT's and work with the local Search and Rescue teams. Our guides are all hard-working, intelligent, passionate, talented and inspiring individuals. We are proud to work with such fine folks. All tours are done in English, although we have staff fluent in Spanish, French and Arabic. Let us know of any linguistic concerns.

5. What about my health condition?
All activities are easily tailored to respect any health condition. It's vital that you accurately relay health concerns to us at the time of booking an event. We'll let your guide know but we hope you'll feel comfortable to keep an open dialogue with your guide about how you're feeling along the way.

6. What if I've never done it before?
No worries here. Let us know your experience level when you make your reservation and we'll be sure to customize a fun program that's to your specifications. This is important information because we don't to pair up the marathoner and the couch potato. You see our point.

7. Can I bring the kids?
Bring'em on! We can gear our activities to meet most ages. We do have a few minimums, though. For our Rock Climbing activities, the child needs to be at least 50 pounds and 6 years of age. For our Downhill Biking tours, we don't allow trailers, but we do use the tag-a-longs. That means the child has to sit independently on the bike seat and hold on firmly and comfortably to his/her own handlebars. Also, it seems that kids making the transition to handlebar brakes are sometimes manually fatigued by the time they get to the bottom. Just a few thoughts. If you're not sure, let us know and we'll make that decision together.

8. What if it starts to rain or snow?
Let it be known that weather up in the High Country can change quickly. That said, all of our tours are "rain or shine". Just remember to bring along that extra jacket if necessary. It's very likely that any inclement weather will quickly pass. If our staff, who are professional and knowledgeable guides, determine that it is in the interest of safety not to go out, we'll be happy to reschedule or refund your fees. If the decision to turn back is made early enough in the game, then we may refund part of your fees.

9. Where do we meet?
CBST tours depart from WildernesSports on Main Street, right between 4th and 5th Streets, in downtown Frisco. Their phone number is (970) 668-8804. There is a free public bus system, the Summit Stage, which runs throughout all of Summit County.
